INTER SANCTUM ET PROFANUM

Nelle mie opere mi vado a sostituire attraverso un autoscatto al personaggio del quadro originale a cui ho scelto di dare una nuova identità. Ricreando nelle posizioni e nelle luci lo stesso pathos del dipinto.
La mia rappresentazione contemporanea si colloca come un elemento di disturbo nella mente dell’osservatore.

I miei lavori elaborati attraverso il fotoritocco  permettono un salto nel tempo che riporta il passato al presente.

Sostituire, questa è la chiave di accesso, dare un nuovo codice all’immagine, il titolo del dipinto originale una volta che il lavoro è stato manipolato non ha più senso e significato.

Essere Abramo, un apostolo o un centurione romano significa entrare in contatto con il resto dei personaggi e creare un nuovo dialogo e nuovi punti di vista in cui lo spettatore si può immedesimare.

Ricreare un “pathos contemporaneo” abbatte ogni limite che ci venga imposto senza più alcun riferimento di tempo e spazio temporale. Immagini appese al filo della memoria che ci scorrono davanti senza il bisogno di nessun punto di riferimento cronologico.

Dissacrare un’ iconografia, simulare tra sacro e profano, navigare nella storia della religione e dell’arte come un avatar 2.0 dare a ogni lavoro nuova identità a una storia già raccontata.

Decontestualizzare il soggetto originale mi permette di creare un cortocircuito visivo e non avere più nessun legame con quanto già fatto e la possibilità di interpretarne una mia personale visione.

 

In my works I’m going to replace through a self-portrait to the character of the original painting to which I have chosen to give a new identity. Recreating in the positions and lights the same pathos of the painting.
My contemporary representation is a disturbing element in the mind of the observer.

My work elaborated through the photo editing allows a leap in time that brings the past to the present.

Replace, this is the key to access, give a new code to the image, the title of the original painting once the work has been manipulated no longer has meaning and meaning.

Being Abraham, an apostle or a Roman centurion means getting in touch with the rest of the characters and creating a new dialogue and new points of view in which the viewer can empathize.

Recreating a “contemporary pathos” breaks down every limit imposed upon us, without any reference to time or temporal space. Images hanging from the thread of memory that flow in front of us without the need for any chronological reference point.

Desecrating an iconography, simulating between the sacred and the profane, navigating the history of religion and art as an avatar 2.0, giving each work a new identity to a story already told.

De-contextualizing  the original subject allows me to create a visual short circuit and no longer have any connection with what has already been done and the possibility of interpreting my personal vision.
